Liverpool have been criticised for their decision to let Luis Diaz<\/a> go during the summer transfer window. The Reds agreed to a deal with Bayern Munich<\/a>, allowing the Colombian international to leave for a fee of up to \u00a365.5million.<\/p>\n Since his move to Germany, Diaz has had a stellar start, netting 11 goals in 17 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n Following Diaz’s departure, Liverpool<\/a> bolstered their attacking options by bringing in Hugo Ekitike<\/a> and Alexander Isak<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ekitike kicked off the season on a high note, scoring six goals in all competitions, but he hasn’t found the back of the net in the Premier League<\/a> since September 20.<\/p>\n Isak, who made a \u00a3125million switch from Newcastle<\/a>, has only scored once for Liverpool, with his only goal coming against Southampton<\/a> in the Carabao Cup.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Andy Robertson told he has been proven right about Liverpool after summer snub<\/a>READ MORE: Antoine Semenyo \u2018annoyed\u2019 as feelings on Liverpool and Man Utd transfer made clear<\/a><\/p>\n Former Premier League striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has voiced his opinion on why Liverpool should have kept Diaz.<\/p>\n The former Chelsea<\/a> star also questioned the impact of bringing both Ekitike and Isak to the club, with Liverpool head coach Arne Slot<\/a> is often asked about the possibility of naming both players in the starting line-up, reports the Liverpool Echo<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hasselbaink’s comments come after Liverpool suffered another setback in their bid to retain the Premier League title, losing 3-0 to rivals Manchester City<\/a> last weekend at the Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n “They let [Luis] Diaz go, which in my eyes, should have never happened, they should have gone and got a winger then,” said Hasselbaink during an appearance on Sky Sports<\/a> News.<\/p>\n The former Chelsea striker added: “You have got [Hugo] Ekitike in the building, he is doing well, he hit the ground running he was scoring.<\/p>\n “[Alexander] Isak comes in and Ekitike goes on the bench. What does that do to Ekitike and what else does that do for the squad?<\/p>\n “Whatever you say is not good and that is the problem you’re going to get. You have that problem, then on top of that, you have to find a place for Wirtz.
