Speed cameras and red light cameras are also being added to certain roads as part of the safety measures.<\/p>\n

- A452 Chester Road North – From the roundabout junction with A4041 Queslett Road East (at the city boundary), to Greenway Drive<\/li>\n
- A5127 Lichfield Road – From south of Bishops Way to the roundabout at Watford Gap Road (city boundary)<\/li>\n
- Webster Way\/Thimble End Road – From Walmley Road to Walmley Ash Road<\/li>\n
- Ox Leys Road – Springfield Road to Fox Hollies Road<\/li>\n

Cllr Majid Mahmood, roads boss at Birmingham City Council<\/a>, said: “Together we must do whatever it takes to make roads safer for everyone, which is what our Road Harm Reduction strategy sets out.<\/p>\n\u201cWe are making the speed limit on virtually all roads a maximum of 30mph \u2013 this will be implemented later this year.<\/p>\n
“We are also working with police on red light cameras and we have announced six new locations for average speed cameras across the city.”<\/p>\n
