Emmerdale<\/a> viewers have watched on in abject horror as poor April Windsor<\/a> (Amelia Flanagan<\/a>) has been swallowed up by Celia Daniels<\/a>\u2019\u00a0(Jaye Griffiths<\/a>) dark underworld.<\/p>\n The youngster was initially being groomed and manipulated by Ray Walters<\/a>\u00a0(Joe Absolom<\/a>) into dealing drugs before being pushed into prostitution.<\/p>\n Since her now-boyfriend, Dylan Penders<\/a>\u00a0(Fred Kettle<\/a>) \u2013 who\u2019d supported her traumatic time living on the streets<\/a> \u2013 reappeared in the village, the two have forged a sweet relationship, and though Dylan initially tried to keep April away from his dark dealings with Ray, it was too late; Ray had already decided to induct her into the operation.<\/p>\n April\u2019s\u00a0first taste of dealing<\/a>\u00a0was to help protect her new boyfriend, though she was grossly outmatched by the conniving Celia, who, via Ray, saw to it that both of the\u00a0teens became indebted<\/a>\u00a0to the criminal gang, with little\u00a0means of escape<\/a>, forced to take on increasingly darker jobs to pay off their debt.<\/p>\n One of April\u2019s most recent jobs, \u2018entertaining\u2019 one of Celia\u2019s clients, ended in the apparent<\/a>\u00a0\u2018fatality\u2019 of the client<\/a>. With nowhere else to turn, April was forced to call on her bosses for help.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t While Ray undertook the task of \u2018disposing of the body\u2019, Celia took the opportunity to make it perfectly clear to April that her debt had increased. Despite April begging to be let go from the crime syndicate, Celia spelt it out for her, she \u2018owns\u2019 her.<\/p>\n Celia and Ray have seen to it that April is isolated from her family. After an accident with the drug stash that she was selling resulted in her brother Leo Goskirk (Harvey Rogerson) taking an ecstasy tablet, stepmum\u00a0Rhona Goskirk<\/a>\u00a0(Zoe Henry<\/a>) asked her to leave, and while dad Marlon Dingle<\/a> (Mark Charnock<\/a>) desperately wanted her to stay, April moved into grandad\u00a0Bob Hope<\/a>\u2019s (Tony Audenshaw<\/a>) B&B.<\/p>\n With April terrified that asking her dad for help would result in mass carnage<\/a>, it seems she has nowhere to turn.<\/p>\n Viewers, however, have been longing for an old friend of April\u2019s to discover the mess she\u2019s been dragged into, somebody with much more experience with fighting fire with fire.<\/p>\n Ross to the rescue?<\/p>\n \t\t Ross Barton<\/a>\u00a0(Michael Parr<\/a>) was previously involved in a relationship with April\u2019s late mum, police officer Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth)<\/a>, who threw herself from a building while handcuffed to a dangerous gangster after learning she had a terminal illness.<\/p>\n Despite Ross\u2019 complete aversion to staying within the confines of the law, the two had a fierce, loving bond, with Ross dedicated to keeping an eye on and protecting<\/a> April after she passed away.<\/p>\n While Ross hasn\u2019t played into April\u2019s plot as of yet, besides a minor interaction in which it seemed that she may ask for help, Michael recently spoke on whether or not his alter-ego could come to April\u2019s rescue on the Soap Scoop podcast.<\/p>\n \u2018I think that is starting to be released in the scripts soon, so I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on with it, but we\u2019ve always had a connection. She was such a talented little four-year-old [when she joined the show]. It was just like: \u2018Well, she\u2019s an amazing as a four-year-old. Where does it go?\u2019 And now she\u2019s basically the face of the show, and she wins all the awards and stuff!\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018So it\u2019s more like, I\u2019m grateful just to be part of her storylines now. We get on like a house on fire as well. She\u2019s a very thoughtful young woman and it\u2019s been a joy to watch her grow up. She\u2019s still an amazing actress.\u2019<\/p>\n Would Ross think twice about crossing someone as dangerous as Celia and her subordinate-cum-adoptive son, Ray? According to Michael\u2026nope!<\/p>\n \u2018I imagine when Ross does find out, there\u2019s going to be hell to pay. I love working with Joe and Jaye as well. I think if Ross is provoked and you hurt the wrong people around him, the old Ross is gonna come out.<\/p>\n \u2018I did see a comment online the other day that said \u2018Ross is a creep and a sociopath\u2019. Ross has shot people, so he\u2019s not one to be trifled with! Ross\u2019s thing is that he\u2019s physically violent. He\u2019s a good fighter, and he\u2019s not scared of anyone. He\u2019s just not that smart!<\/p>\n \u2018But those two are smart, but probably aren\u2019t as physically imposing. If they get caught in the wrong part of the farm, and there\u2019s no one around, they\u2019re going to come off much worse.
