His efforts have now earned individual recognition and he becomes the second United player to win the award in 2025 – following Bruno Fernandes<\/a>.<\/p>\n But take a look down the list of names to excel in a Premier League<\/a> month and you’ll see some rogue names – some of whom had very short periods in the sun.<\/p>\n Yes across the competitions history there’s been several multiple winners. Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane<\/a> and Mo Salah<\/a> have claimed it seven times. The midfielder turned into a goal-getting machine – finding the net in seven games on the bounce when he played. His run began in April and kept going until the end of the season with his goals helping the Magpies to win four of their final seven games.<\/p>\n Fraser Forster – February 2016<\/p>\n Once upon a time he was banging on the door to be England’s goalkeeper – and that was owing to some of the form he showed whilst at Southampton<\/a>. Forster had made a comeback from injury and kept a club record six consecutive clean sheets for the Saints – three of which – against Arsenal, West Ham<\/a> and Swansea – fell in February to secure seven points.<\/p>\n Diafra Sakho – October 2014<\/p>\n He had quite the purple patch and it helped West Ham secure a memorable win over Manchester City<\/a> at Upton Park. The striker helped the Hammers bag three wins out of three in the month – the others coming against QPR<\/a> and Burnley<\/a>. He scored in all three victories and had six goals from six starts. Sakho’s header against City proving the match-winner as they edged out the champions 2-1.<\/p>\n Chelsea<\/a> had wanted to sign the Portuguese playmaker in 2004 after he inspired Porto to Champions League<\/a> glory. They got him four years later after he opted to join Barcelona<\/a> instead, but he did begin with a bang. Deco masterminded a 4-0 win over Portsmouth on the opening day – scoring a cracker. He also came up with the match winner against Wigan a week later – but that would be as good as his Chelsea career got.<\/p>\n Mikael Forssell – March 2004<\/p>\n Another ex-Chelsea man but he needed to head out to Birmingham City to make his mark in the Premier League. The Finnish frontman enjoyed the season of his career in 2003\/04 – scoring 19 times in all competitions as he outscored the likes of Michael Owen. In March he would score six times – which included braces against Middlesbrough and Leeds.<\/p>\n The man from Costa Rica made his name in England whilst with Derby and began impressively in the 1997\/98 campaign. The striker was in stunning form during the month and was involved in all five of Derby\u2019s league goals – He laid on both of Francesco Baiano\u2019s goals in the Rams\u2019 2-1 victory at Leicester<\/a>. Wanchope remained integral as Derby drew 2-2 against United at Pride Park – scoring to put them ahead for a period.
