A delivery driver was attacked in south Belfast before having his moped stolen.<\/p>\n

The incident happened at around 8.50pm last Wednesday, April 23 in the Botanic Avenue area of the city. <\/p>\n

The male moped driver, understood to be a delivery driver, was assaulted before his vehicle and mobile phone were taken.<\/p>\n

The damaged vehicle was found abandoned a short time later. <\/p>\n

A video circulating online appears to show at least five youths fleeing the area with one attempting to make off with the moped.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice in south Belfast are investigating the report of an assault, theft and attempted theft in the Botanic Avenue area on Wednesday, 23rd April,\u201d a PSNI spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
