Following the brutal stripping of titles and honours<\/a> from her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, Sarah Ferguson<\/a> finds herself literally as well as figuratively “in the doghouse.”<\/p>\n

Still living \u2013 for now \u2013 at Royal Lodge in Windsor<\/a>, it’s reported that Sarah is frequently found consoling herself with staff in a specially constructed bar at the rear of the mansion, which has been nicknamed “The Doghouse.”<\/p>\n

In addition to this, she has a mass of business-related documents to sift through; one key change will involve removing the term ‘Duchess’ from paperwork linked to the eight limited companies with which she is still involved.<\/p>\n

According to The Daily Mail, the former duchess, known for her lavish spending, is heavily engaged in disentangling a complex web of interconnected companies with which she was involved.<\/p>\n

A source close to the Royal family<\/a> revealed that she is advising her two daughters to keep a diplomatic distance from their disgraced parents: “Sarah is encouraging Beatrice and Eugenie to carry on with life as usual and discouraging them from meeting with her. She’s worried that public association with their parents could jeopardise their own prospects of remaining within the Royal circle.”<\/p>\n

Despite her mounting woes, Sarah still has influential friends who could offer her some form of safety net.<\/p>\n

Royal author Andrew Lownie told The Mirror: “Richard Branson’s<\/a> invited her to stay at Necker Island whenever she wants. Lots of people will come out of the woodwork to support her.<\/p>\n

“So she has lots of places that she can go to. I suspect she will go somewhere like, Switzerland or, close to her daughter in Portugal, assuming that relationship should endure.”<\/p>\n

He suggested that before her former husband’s spectacular fall from grace, Sarah had nearly made her way back into royal circles. “There she was back in the royal box at Wimbledon,” Lownie said.<\/p>\n

“I think she had been invited to Sandringham for Christmas<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

That invitation has now been firmly withdrawn, along with any invitations extended to Andrew, who is reportedly spending his time “ranting and muttering” about his current predicament.<\/p>\n

The situation could deteriorate further. Lownie revealed to the Mirror that significantly more individuals are now prepared to share their experiences of working alongside the disgraced Royal.<\/p>\n

He said: “I’m hearing from protection officers, diplomats, people in the Navy. I’m getting two or three people a day.”<\/p>\n

He claims the volume of fresh revelations means he’s not only preparing an updated, expanded edition of his explosive book Entitled \u2013 which played such a significant role in dismantling Andrew’s reputation \u2013 but now possesses sufficient material for a follow-up volume.<\/p>\n
