The fallout from Conor Benn<\/a>‘s win over Chris Eubank<\/a> Jr has continued with their fathers’ feud still very much present after Nigel Benn labelled Chris Eubank Sr a ‘prat’ among things post-fight.<\/p>\n

Conor Benn got revenge by beating Eubank Jr by unanimous decision on Saturday night<\/a> at the Tottenham<\/a> Hotspur Stadium, seven months after losing their initial bout.<\/p>\n

And while there is obvious bad blood between the sons, that is still very much present between the fathers too 35 years on from the first of their two fights.<\/p>\n

During their heyday, Benn Sr, now 61, would often declare his ‘hate’ for Eubank Sr, now 59, and those old fires were stoked again in fight week of Saturday’s clash.<\/p>\n

The pair had an unexpected face-off on Thursday and failed to shake hands pre-fight. Speaking about those incidents, Benn Sr expressed his displeasure of his long-time foe.<\/p>\n

‘At the press conference \u2026 I’ll say it now, we had a face-off,’ said Benn Sr.<\/p>\n

The pair’s long-running feud dates back to their heyday as fighters – with the first bout in 1990<\/p>\n

Conor Benn produced a dominant performance to overcome Chris Eubank Jr in their rematch<\/p>\n

‘He is dancing because he loves the limelight. He doesn’t care about his son, he just loves the limelight.<\/p>\n

‘And he is dancing, he came right next to me and I thought, ‘Let me just shake your hand’, so I pulled him in for a hug and he put his hand up to me.<\/p>\n

‘And I actually felt like I wanted to\u2026 so when he tried to shake my hand tonight, I thought, “I ain’t playing your games, mate”. I don’t think I’ll even speak to him again, because I find him a right prat.<\/p>\n

‘He is an idiot. He tries to quote scripture and all that, he don’t even know what he is talking about. I just can’t get him. When you have them two around you, everything is just so negative. Always bloody moaning. Always.<\/p>\n

‘I tell you what, I’m sick to death of them to tell the truth and I am glad it’s over now. I am glad it’s over now and we won’t hear about them any more.’<\/p>\n
