Ollie Watkins could soon be on his way out of Aston Villa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Watkins was left out of the England squad<\/a> by Thomas Tuchel for the November international break after a dreadful run of form at Villa Park.<\/p>\n

Unai Emery<\/a> has stood by the striker, but Watkins has continued to be ineffective for Aston Villa<\/a> when looking to get on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

Watkins<\/a> has still worked for his side, even when his form has taken a hit, but at this stage, his on-field output just hasn\u2019t been good enough.<\/p>\n

The January transfer window is just over a month away and could signal the beginning of the end for the Englishman in claret and blue.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa have been linked to Igor Thiago at Brentford<\/a> as the lookout for an alternative to their record Premier League scorer goes on.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian is a relatively new signing for the Bees and has been top class in front of goal, so the Villans could be forced to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n

A deal may prove to be impossible with Keith Andrews\u2019 side, but the desire for a new number nine appears to be on the table at Bodymoor Heath.<\/p>\n

The B6 outfit could find a perfect option away from England, with a potential bargain \u00a317.6million fee available for Gonzalo Garcia at Real Madrid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The idea of selling the striker and investing the \u00a317m in their squad across the rest of the transfer window seems to appeal to them.<\/p>\n

Los Blancos are undecided on how to approach negotiations, but if Villa table a bid, it would be interesting to test their resolve.<\/p>\n

Garcia could replace Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa<\/p>\n

Villa have already put Watkins up against a younger asset in the shape of Jhon Duran, and the Englishman won that battle.<\/p>\n

The Colombian now finds himself on loan at Fenerbahce, having scored just two goals in his last 10 outings for the Turkish giants.<\/p>\n

Watkins may not be so lucky next time around, so if the Villans swoop to sign Garcia, it could prove to be the end of the road for the ex-Brentford man. <\/p>\n

The Spaniard was the top scorer at the Club World Cup and has the potential to be a true threat in the Premier League moving forward.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Emery should be able to get the best out of the 21-year-old, so it could be the perfect time to land a new, potentially long-term striker option in B6.<\/p>\n
