Salford Twitch streamer Angry Ginge is set to appear on the 2025 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here<\/a> alongside fellow contestants Aitch, Loose Women’s Kelly Brook, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, Ruby Wax and Spandeau Ballet star Martin Kemp.<\/p>\n Before the 24-year-old became a social media star, he was a young man from Eccles<\/a>, Salford<\/a>, known by his name Morgan Burtwistle.<\/p>\n Prior to his online persona, Morgan attended Salford City Academy and grew up on a council estate in Eccles with his mum Michelle. He’s spoken in length about his close relationship with his mum, particularly with his dad – whom he has never named – out of the picture.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News <\/strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> group <\/strong>HERE<\/a><\/p>\n His success on Twitch didn’t happen overnight, with his first stream of FIFA gameplay in October 2020 watched by 40 viewers, earning him a total of \u00a312.44.<\/p>\n It wasn’t until he returned to make content in 2021 following his grandfather’s death that he started to see results on the platform.<\/p>\n In just the past year alone, Morgan is predicted to have made between \u00a3804,000 and \u00a31.1million from social media.<\/p>\n He’s no stranger to appearing on viewers screens, either, as many will recognise him from his stint at this year’s Soccer Aid.<\/p>\n He lived out a boyhood dream as the Manchester United fan made his first appearance in the “world’s biggest charity football match” at the club’s home of Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n Morgan has openly supported grass roots football throughout his career, and in 2024 he took over as manager of Winton Wanderers FC, otherwise known as Winton Yanited.<\/p>\n The side are currently unbeaten in 16 games this season and sit top of the Bolton<\/a> and Bury<\/a> League.<\/p>\n He played as a goalie for the club as a kid and volunteered as a referee, before returning to coach the team. He streams the Saturday morning training sessions on his social media channels.<\/p>\n The opportunity to work with the under-18s club gave Morgan a chance to stay close to his Salford roots. He’s previously shared: “I will never ever forget Salford, I\u2019m so proud to grow up here.<\/p>\n “Everything I went through when I was young, watching my mum grind, it\u2019s given me the right mindset in life.”<\/p>\n The 24-year-old has gained ‘massive respect’ from the players but still has to be ‘reined in every now and then’, according to his vice chair at the club.<\/p>\n Vice chair Sarah Wolff said: “Ginge is a bit of a character. He’s a big personality to be fair, but he’s got a heart of gold. He gets to know all his players personally, he has a real family feel to his team<\/p>\n “All of his players have massive, massive respect for him.<\/p>\n “Don’t get me wrong, he keeps us all on our toes. We have to rein in him every now and again, but he is a great guy.<\/p>\n “His big thing he just wants to promote grassroots football. He came to us and said I want to create a team and stream them. He wants to show professional clubs that there are still talented players at 17\/18.”<\/p>\n And in terms of winning the reality show, Wolff says he will do well because people will see the ‘real Ginge, not just the social media stuff’.<\/p>\n She said: “I think he’ll do well, because I think people will see the real Ginge, not just the social media stuff, but I’m not sure how he’ll do because he’s a bit squeamish.<\/p>\n “But I can’t say that we’re not going to be voting for him to do the trials every time!”<\/p>\n Angry Ginge is no stranger to doing reality TV shows, having previously competed in the first series of the Sidemen’s show Inside.<\/p>\n Ginge self-eliminated from the show after six days to buy a ticket to the 2024 FA Cup final, in which his beloved Man United beat Man City.<\/p>\n He will be joined in the jungle by fellow United fan and Mancunian Aitch.
