{"id":575090,"date":"2025-11-16T23:57:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T23:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/575090\/"},"modified":"2025-11-16T23:57:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-16T23:57:12","slug":"full-list-of-manchester-roads-where-you-will-find-a-speed-camera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/575090\/","title":{"rendered":"Full list of Manchester roads where you will find a speed camera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Mancunian motorists have become familiar with the sight of speed cameras, first appearing on British roads in 1992.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Most drivers know where speed cameras are on their regular routes, with Manchester\u2019s network of motorways, busy A-roads, and orbital routes policed by camera.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">But few fully understand the reach the cameras have.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><b>Join our Traffic and Travel WhatsApp group <a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/J6iWHm0TtOX3Y7B0KEYoeY\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:HERE;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">HERE<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">More than 250 traffic cameras have been installed in Greater Manchester, and there are hundreds more \u2018mobile locations\u2019 where the police can enforce the limits temporarily.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Manchester is the borough with the most cameras, with 57 out of the region\u2019s 262.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A major change to camera enforcement was rolled-out only last year, when new council-run \u2018moving traffic offence\u2019 cameras, began policing rules on yellow boxes at six junctions in the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">What cameras police has also grown since the 90s. Along with the spot-check cameras, there are average speed cameras, often used for motorway roadworks, and red traffic light cameras.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Now, we\u2019ve used data from Greater Manchester\u2019s 10 councils to compile a list of every speed camera in the city-region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We\u2019ve added to that list of cameras from early 2024 with more recent announcements, and from database<a href=\"https:\/\/speedingfinecalculatoruk.com\/speed-camera-map\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Speeding Fine Calculator;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"> Speeding Fine Calculator<\/a>. We then cross-referenced camera locations with Google Streetview images to confirm they were still there in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The table below gives a complete list of 262 speed, average speed, red light, and yellow box cameras, and the speed limit in force where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It\u2019s worth checking it before your next new journey, as being caught out by a camera will lead to a \u00a3100 fine and three penalty points on your driving licence as a minimum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">However, punishments can be harsher for more egregious offences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If a driver accrues 12 penalty points on their licence within three years, they can be disqualified from driving.
