After Storm Claudia brough heavy rain across the UK this weekend, the weather forecast<\/a> for the start of the week suggests that winter is truly coming.<\/p>\n According to the Met Office<\/a>, Monday could bring some dry and crisp weather<\/a> as temperatures could drop below freezing in parts of the country.<\/p>\n The forecaster<\/a> has said that we could see wet and windy weather as we move into the later half of the week.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Mapped: See the areas of NI predicted to be hit by snowfall as arctic blast hits UK<\/a>READ MORE: NI county with the best mobile signal 15 years on – and the one still to make progress<\/a><\/p>\n For across the UK, Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Dan Holley, said: \u201cAs Storm Claudia retreats to the south, high pressure to the northwest will drive a cold northerly flow from the Arctic across the UK.<\/p>\n “This will bring much colder conditions than of late and, whilst generally drier than recent days, there will also be a risk of wintry hazards, such as snow and ice.<\/p>\n “There will be widespread frosts across the UK, with temperatures dipping as low as -7\u00b0C in places next week, and daytime temperatures staying in single figures across the country.”<\/p>\n This is what the Met Office has forecast for Northern Ireland:<\/p>\n Monday, November 17:<\/p>\n Dry throughout the day. Cloudiest in the northwest with more by the way of bright or sunny spells in the east. Light winds. Clouding over through the evening. Maximum temperature 8 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:<\/p>\n Wet and windy on Tuesday. Cold with strong winds and scattered wintry showers on Wednesday.
