The mum of a murdered Sheffield school boy tells us she wants to get bleed kits in ‘every single secondary school in the city’.<\/p>\n
One is getting donated to Hinde House Secondary School today – thanks to a campaign which’s being led by Caroline Willgoose. <\/p>\n
She wants all secondary schools in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire to have access to the potentially lifesaving equipment:<\/p>\n
“We’re starting at Hinde House, and then we’re going on to other schools.<\/p>\n
“We’re going to give 15 bleed kits out in this first stage and then next month we want to give a further 15 out.<\/p>\n
“Once we’ve given those 30 bleed kits out, we want to progress into Rotherham.<\/p>\n
“All schools should have bleed kits.<\/p>\n
“We don’t know whether a bleed kit would’ve saved Harvey’s life, but they didn’t have one in his school, so we’ll never know – but I want bleed kits in every single school.<\/p>\n
“We’ve got a Go Fund Me page which is funding these bleed kits that we’re giving out.<\/p>\n
“It’s \u00a3103 for a bleed kit. They so save lives though.”<\/p>\n
15-year-old Harvey Willgoose was stabbed to death by another pupil at All Saints Catholic High School in February this year.<\/p>\n
Teenager Mohammed Umar Khan was sentenced to life in jail for Harvey’s murder last month.<\/p>\n
He’ll serve a minimum of 16 years in custody before he can be considered for release by the Parole Board.<\/p>\n
