Moscow reported intercepting dozens
\nof Ukrainian drones overnight, as Kyiv accused Russian forces of striking
\ncivilian areas in the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n
The Russian Ministry of Defense indicated
\non Monday that its air-defense units brought down 36 fixed-wing drones across
\nseveral western regions, adding that a TOS-1A thermobaric system hit a
\nUkrainian command post in the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n
The Armed Forces of Ukraine,
\nhowever, noted that the missile that struck Kharkiv damaged seven apartment
\nbuildings and a kindergarten, charging the Russian military with targeting
\ncivilian infrastructure and disregarding international humanitarian law.
\nPreliminary figures placed the toll at three dead and 13 injured, including
\nchildren. <\/p>\n
In its morning bulletin, Ukrainian
\nforces registered 216 combat clashes across several fronts, halting attacks in
\nthe Kupiansk, Lyman, and Pokrovsk sectors. The update estimated Russian losses last
\nday at 1,160 personnel, alongside destroyed tanks, armored vehicles, artillery
\nsystems, drones, and other equipment.<\/p>\n
The exchange followed US President
\nDonald Trump’s warning on Sunday that Republicans are preparing legislation to
\npenalize any country doing business with Russia, describing the measures as very
\nsevere.<\/p>\n
