Maghalie Rochette<\/a> (SRAM\/Seeker) soloed to win her fourth elite women\u2019s title at the 2025 Canadian Cyclocross Championships<\/a>, presented by Lazer, and her first since 2019. Last year, the 32-year-old finished second behind Isabella Holmgren, the junior cyclocross world champion.<\/p>\n

Rochette has been on a roll this season, earning nine wins and two runner-up finishes \u2013 including a close second place at the Pan American championships last week \u2013 in 12 races since her first victory in her first race in September.<\/p>\n

Sidney McGill (Lastig Offroad Racing) crossed the line 49 seconds later to take silver, while Katja Verkerk (Broad St Off-Road) followed more than four minutes behind the winner to claim the bronze.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat race today! It was cold, the course was epic, challenging both physically and technically, which is what makes cyclocross so beautiful. I think L\u00e9vis put on an incredible event,” Rochette told Qu\u00e9bec en v\u00e9lo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Today was a tough battle. Sidney McGill is one of the best Canadian cyclists we have here and a cyclocross specialist who is also very strong technically, so I was expecting a big fight, and that’s exactly what happened.<\/p>\n

“My goal today was to be fully committed to the effort and ready for it to be tough, but to really stay focused, one section at a time, and that’s kind of how I gradually increased my lead. I’m really happy, and it was special to do it here in Quebec.”<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Rafaelle Carrier, the junior bronze medallist at the UCI Cyclocross World Championships, claimed the U23 women\u2019s title with a solo victory, finishing 20 seconds ahead of silver medallist Nico Knoll. Doroth\u00e9e Perron rounded out the podium in third.<\/p>\n

Racers battled cold, windy conditions as they navigated a course set on the grounds of the Abbaye Cistercienne de St-Romuald in Parc de la Rivi\u00e8re-Etchemin in L\u00e9vis, Quebec. The route presented a series of challenges, including an uphill straightaway and obstacles scattered throughout an orchard, historic ruins, and fields.<\/p>\n
