The explosion of an explosive device destroyed the railway track,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\"><strong>More damage was found elsewhere on the same line,<\/strong> Tusk said, prompting concerns about deliberate targeting of the route, which is used among others to facilitate aid deliveries to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/ukraine\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Tusk said that \u201cemergency services and the prosecutor\u2019s office are working at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Donald Tusk visiting the site of suspected sabotage in Mika (Garwolin County). Photograph: Twitter\/X<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The <strong>incident was reported on Sunday morning after a driver of a regional passenger train had spotted a missing part of the track<\/strong>, triggering an investigation into the causes of the damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\"><strong>The incident will cause further concern in Poland which remains on high alert amid continuing hybrid threats from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/russia\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a> and Belarus,<\/strong> after more than 20 drones flew into Polish airspace in September, prompting a Nato response.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Expect more reactions from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/poland\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poland<\/a> and allies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">But <strong>the main event of the day will come a bit later as Ukraine\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/volodymyr-zelenskiy\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/a> flies to Paris to meet with the country\u2019s president, Emmanuel Macron, <\/strong>and discuss the latest on Ukraine and bilateral cooperation on defence, energy, and the economy.<\/p>\n<p>The President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron welcomes Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine in September.
