So far this winter, temperatures in London and across the UK have\u00a0been unseasonably\u00a0mild, with this year\u2019s Bonfire Night\u00a0being\u00a0the warmest ever recorded. Up until now,\u00a0most of us been able to venture outside without our woolies and avoid switching the heating on, but that\u2019s finally about to change. Following Storm Claudia, an Arctic chill is set to\u00a0sweep the nation<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

London will feel much, much colder this week, with temperatures plummeting all the way down to just 2C overnight. Of course, when temperatures drop, the big question is: will there be snow? Here\u2019s everything we know about London\u2019s weather forecast this week, and the likelihood of snowfall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

How cold will it be in London this week?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

London won\u2019t be any warmer than 9C this week. The\u00a0capital will see its coldest day of the winter so far on Thursday, when\u00a0the temperature is forecast to\u00a0drop to 5C, but according to the Met Office, it\u2019ll will feel like more like a\u00a0biting\u00a02C. Overnight, it\u2019ll be around 2C but feel like -2C or -3C.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When is snow forecast for London?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Although temperatures are dropping dramatically in the capital, it won\u2019t be quite cold enough yet for snow. However, the Met Office does say that there\u2019ll be \u2018widespread overnight frosts\u2019 between Wednesday and Friday. According to BBC Weather, the closest London will get to snow is sleet showers from around 6am to 9am on Thursday.\u00a0There is a possibility of snow<\/a> in\u00a0more northern parts of the\u00a0UK.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
