Getting in the Christmas spirit already? Why not take that festive feeling to the next level by going to see a family favourite film<\/a> on the big screen – accompanied by a live orchestra?<\/p>\n

It has now been 35 years since Home Alone was released, but it is still one of the most beloved Christmas films, rewatched by millions of people every Christmas. In fact, it is the second-highest grossing festive film of all time, just behind the animated adaptation of ‘The Grinch’, released in 2018.<\/p>\n

And if you haven’t yet cracked out the Macaulay Culkin classic this year – or even if you have already, but you just can’t get enough – there is now a whole new way to watch it<\/a> on the big screen, complete with live music.<\/p>\n

For one night only, on December 16, Bristol Beacon will be showing the 1990 film<\/a> to audiences, while the Welsh National Opera Orchestra (WNO) and the Welsh National Opera Chorus perform the iconic musical score to the film, composed by the legendary John Williams.<\/p>\n

You’ll get to hear familiar tunes such as the film’s main title track, ‘Somewhere In My Memory’, as well as the recognisable ‘Carol of The Bells’, all played by a full orchestra and chorus of singers, filling the Beacon Hall<\/a> and bringing your favourite film to life.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available now<\/a> from SeeTickets, starting at \u00a335.75 – but they’re selling fast, so be quick if you don’t want to miss this festive family outing.<\/p>\n

The film is rated PG, meaning it is suitable for general audiences but parental guidance is advised for young children. It has a run time of one hour and 45 minutes, with the screening starting at the Bristol Beacon<\/a> at 7.30pm on December 16 (doors will open from 7pm).<\/p>\n

Beacon Hall also has space for wheelchair users on all tiers of seating, making the screening accessible for all.<\/p>\n

Film review site, Rotten Tomatoes, the definitive source for reviews, ratings, and trailers, says of Home Alone: “Its clever plot, unforgettable performances, and perfect balance of comedy and heart, make it a must-watch every holiday season.”<\/p>\n
