St Helens front rower Agnatius Paasi has signed a new one-year contract to remain with the Super League club for 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 33-year-old joined Saints from National Rugby League (NRL) side New Zealand Warriors before the 2021 season and has since made 108 appearances.<\/p>\n
During his time with the club, Tonga international Paasi has won two Super League Grand Finals, the Challenge Cup and the World Club Challenge.<\/p>\n
“I’m excited for another year with Saints, this club has given me a lot, and I really appreciate it,” he told the club website., external<\/a><\/p>\n “I’m buzzing and I’m going to give everything I’ve got to try to win more silverware – we always want more here, so hopefully this next year is a big one.”<\/p>\n Paasi, who joins Jake Burns,<\/a> Curtis Sironen,<\/a> Matt Whitley,<\/a> Daryl Clark<\/a> and Jake Wingfield<\/a> in committing his future to the club following the conclusion of the 2025 campaign, had an injury-hit season in 2023.<\/p>\n However, he made 27 appearances for Saints last season, his most in a campaign since 2022.<\/p>\n “I can’t fault the club at all,” he added. “The physios, trainers, and all the staff really helped me get back on the field and held me accountable.
