{"id":577805,"date":"2025-11-18T07:14:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T07:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/577805\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T07:14:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T07:14:13","slug":"when-is-the-daisy-edgar-jones-sense-sensibility-movie-coming-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/577805\/","title":{"rendered":"When Is The Daisy Edgar-Jones &#8216;Sense &#038; Sensibility&#8217; Movie Coming Out?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGeorge Oakley\u2019s revival of Jane Austen\u2019s Sense and Sensibility will debut in stateside theaters on September 11, 2026 via <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/focus-features\/\" id=\"auto-tag_focus-features\" data-tag=\"focus-features\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Focus Features<\/a>, and on September 25 in the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Working Title production based on  a script adaptation by Diana Reid stars <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/daisy-edgar-jones\/\" id=\"auto-tag_daisy-edgar-jones\" data-tag=\"daisy-edgar-jones\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daisy Edgar-Jones<\/a>, Esm\u00e9 Creed-Miles, Caitr\u00edona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, George MacKay and Fiona Shaw.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSet in Georgian-era England, Austen\u2019s classic follows wealthy Mr. Dashwood who dies leaving his second wife and three daughters in rather poor shape. The ladies move to a modest cottage where the two older daughters vie for the attention of various suitors in search of true love.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWorking Title\u2019s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner will produce alongside India Flint of November Pictures and Jo Wallett of Kiddo Films. Working Title and Focus teamed on the 2005 feature take of Pride &amp; Prejudice that earned four Oscar noms, as well as the 2020 feature take of Austen\u2019s Emma. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSense and Sensibility hit the screen back in 1995 via Sony Pictures Classics directed by Ang Lee with a feature adaptation by Emma Thompson which also won her an Adapted Screenplay Oscar. She also starred in the movie as Elinor Dashwood, with Kate Winslet playing daughter Marianne. The movie received seven Oscar nominations overall and grossed more than $134 million at the global box office. <\/p>\n<p>Focus has global rights on the new movie and UPI will handle international distribution for the studio.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFocus Features\u2019 upcoming fall slate includes auteur-driven works like Chlo\u00e9 Zhao\u2019s\u00a0Hamnet, based the New York Times bestselling novel and starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, and Song Sung Blue, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson.
