Actor Liev Schreiber<\/a> was rushed to a New York<\/a> hospital on Monday after he was struck by an unexpectedly intense pain in his head.<\/p>\n The 58-year-old actor contacted his doctor when the pain escalated rapidly and was urged to seek immediate evaluation, leading to a series of urgent tests as clinicians worked to pinpoint the cause, reports\u00a0TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n He was taken to hospital for treatment and admitted overnight as a precaution. <\/p>\n \u2018Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of this afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work,\u2019 his representative said in a statement according to People<\/a>.<\/p>\n Early examinations of Schreiber \u2013 best known for his seven-season run as brooding fixer Ray Donovan -reportedly suggest that the episode was not a stroke or other major neurological event. <\/p>\n Schreiber was able to speak normally, walk unaided, and move all limbs without impairment, reassuring doctors that he had not suffered any acute or lasting neurological damage.<\/p>\n \t\t The incident follows Schreiber\u2019s past experiences with unusually severe headaches. <\/p>\n In April 2024, he revealed that a debilitating migraine left him temporarily unable to recall certain memories \u2013 an episode serious enough that he later underwent neurological evaluation.<\/p>\n Schreiber has also spoken candidly about another unsettling medical event earlier in his career: an abrupt bout of transient global amnesia that occurred mid-performance during a Broadway show. <\/p>\n \t\t \t\t He remembered stepping backstage with a piercing headache and realising instantly that something was wrong. <\/p>\n Moments later, he could no longer remember his co-star\u2019s name, his lines, or even which play he was in. An MRI ruled out stroke or hemorrhage, and his memory returned by the next morning.<\/p>\n He discussed the episode on an episode of\u00a0Late Night With Seth Meyers<\/a>, saying: \u2018I was in my dressing room and I had a terrible headache, I thought it was maybe a fast food headache, but it felt a little stronger than that. I\u2019m walking down the stairs and I\u2019m thinking, \u201cThis is not normal.
