Cameron Mackintosh\u2019s hit production of Lionel Bart\u2019s musical OLIVER!<\/a><\/strong> has issued a casting update.<\/p>\n

Oliver! is currently playing at London\u2019s Gielgud Theatre<\/strong>, booking to 4 October 2026.<\/p>\n

Aaron MacGregor<\/strong> (Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/a>, Granite Harbour, Outlander) has joined the cast playing the Artful Dodger. Aaron replaces Billy Jenkins<\/strong> who left the production this week.<\/p>\n

The cast of Oliver! also features Ava Brennan<\/a><\/strong> (Top Boy, Hamilton) as Nancy, Simon Lipkin<\/a><\/strong> (Guys and Dolls, Avenue Q) as Fagin, Oscar Conlon-Morrey<\/a><\/strong> (Mother Goose, Only Fools and Horses The Musical) as Mr. Bumble, Aaron Sidwell<\/strong> (Henry VI, Wicked) as Bill Sikes, Philip Franks<\/strong> (The Rocky Horror Show, Witness for the Prosecution) as Mr. Brownlow, Katy Secombe<\/strong> (The Music Man, Les Mis\u00e9rables) as Widow Corney, Stephen Matthews<\/strong> (Strictly Ballroom, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) as Mr. Sowerberry\/Dr. Grimwig, and Jamie Birkett<\/strong> (Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Mamma Mia! The Party) as Mrs. Sowerberry\/Mrs. Bedwin.<\/p>\n

The role of Oliver Twist is played by William Barker<\/strong>, Raphael Korniets<\/strong>, Isaac Nelson<\/strong>, and Odo Rowntree-Bailly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Oliver! premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2024, where it scored great reviews from the critics<\/a>, and officially opened in the West End on 14 January 2025.<\/p>\n

Based on Charles Dickens\u2019 novel, Oliver! boasts a much-loved score, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You\u2019ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I\u2019d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more.<\/p>\n

This new production of Oliver! has been re-conceived by Cameron Mackintosh<\/strong>, along with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Joining Matthew Bourne in the creative team of Oliver! are co-director Jean-Pierre van der Spuy; designer Lez Brotherston; musical supervisor and conductor Graham Hurman; lighting designers Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs; sound designer Adam Fisher; video designer George Reeve; original orchestrations William David Brohn; orchestral adaptation Stephen Metcalfe; casting directors Felicity French CDG and Paul Wooller CDG; and children\u2019s casting director Verity Naughton CDG.<\/p>\n

Oliver! is now playing at the Gielgud Theatre in London, booking to 4 October 2026.<\/p>\n
