A woman has died in South Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to Barnhill Road, at Hatherell’s Yard market in Chipping Sodbury, at around 7.40am on Tuesday, November 18, where a woman was confirmed to have died.<\/p>\n

The shopping centre has been closed for the rest of the day, Hatherell’s Yard has confirmed.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: \u201cPolice and ambulance services have attended a non-suspicious sudden death of a woman in Chipping Sodbury today (Tuesday 18 November).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were called to the Barnhill Road area shortly after 7.40am this morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly, the individual\u2019s death was confirmed at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe woman\u2019s next of kin has been informed and our sympathies go out to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers left the scene at approximately 11.30am.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement shared to Facebook<\/a>, the shopping centre said: “All shops in Hatherell’s Yard will be closed today out of respect for an incident that took place nearby this morning.<\/p>\n

“All shops will be open as normal tomorrow.<\/p>\n

“Thank you for your understanding.”<\/p>\n

South Gloucestershire<\/a> Neighbourhood Policing posted on their Facebook page: “Earlier today many of you will have seen there was a significant emergency services’ presence in Chipping Sodbury.<\/p>\n

“We are sad to inform you all that we were called to an incident in which a woman has sadly died.<\/p>\n

“The circumstances relating to her death are not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to share this news because we didn’t want there to be any misunderstanding about today’s tragic events.<\/p>\n
