Given Guehi’s proven credentials and contract situation, Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are monitoring his situation.

This adds a wrinkle to Barcelona’s pursuit of the former Chelsea ace, especially given that they were already dealing with competition from other top clubs like Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

The Blaugrana will need to bring in a new centre-back next summer, considering that there was no replacement was signed after they lost Inigo to Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, Andreas Christensen’s contract expires at the end of the season, and as things stand, there appear to be no plans to offer him an extension.

A player like Guehi could, thus, prove to be a shrewd addition for Barcelona. But given the growing interest in the player, the La Liga champions will need to act swiftly.

FC Barcelona intend to rope in a new centre-back in the summer of 2026, having failed the fill…

[8813
199,11680,748,393,6537,4884,2465,98,2697,16,15
0":"post-579444","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-manchester","8":"tag-barcelona","9":"tag-barcelona-news","10":"tag-britain","11":"tag-england","12":"tag-fc-barcelona","13":"tag-great-britain","14":"tag-manchester","15":"tag-manchester-united","16":"tag-marc-guehi","17":"tag-uk","18":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
