\n A new therapy and wellness centre for families is set to open in a prominent building overlooking Morecambe Bay.\n <\/p>\n

The Rainbow Hub will soon open its doors at 231-233 Marine Road Central.<\/p>\n

The centre will provide services including play therapy, creative arts therapy and filial\/family therapy, for children and families who may have experienced trauma.<\/p>\n

Young people who come to The Rainbow Hub are sometimes struggling with self-worth, self-confidence or identity issues, or had to cope with difficult life events, and need extra support and a safe space.<\/p>\n

An open day will be held to launch the Rainbow Hub in Morecambe, on Sunday November 30 from 1pm to 4pm. There will be a host of family crafts, yoga and meditation sessions plus warm drinks and cake.<\/p>\n

Emily set up The Rainbow Hub in September 2024.<\/p>\n

“We offer a variety of different children’s therapies,” said Emily.<\/p>\n

“We’ve decided to move to a bigger place in Morecambe because we saw there wasn’t much therapy for children on offer in Morecambe. We have a base on Church Street in Lancaster at the moment, that will be closing early next year, so all our focus will be in Morecambe.”<\/p>\n

The hub offers spectacular views across Morecambe Bay and is almost opposite where the Eden Project Morecambe is due to be built.<\/p>\n

“We fell in love with it, as soon as we walked in and saw the view, that’s therapy in itself,” said Emily.<\/p>\n

Charlotte said: “We want it to grow, we really believe in the space.<\/p>\n

“We have some great people on the team who are offering yoga and wellbeing for families, and we’re hoping to expand and get other therapists on board. We want it to be a community hub so we can offer support for really young children up to adults.”<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Hub is moving to the space previously occupied by The Consult Centre social media agency.<\/p>\n

In 2023, planning permission was given to demolish a row of properties at 228-235 Marine Road Central and build a hotel. Due to this, The Consult Centre and other businesses had to move out and find new locations.<\/p>\n

But then in 2024, plans for the hotel fell through and with their premises standing empty, landlords decided to re-let them.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the B-Army Surplus shop opened on the ground floor in the former Bays Bikes, and a barber shop has opened in the former Bayside Emporium antiques centre next door.<\/p>\n
