A man has bravely spoken out after surviving<\/a> an alleged ‘stabbing’ near an Edinburgh McDonald’s which left him soaked<\/a> in blood and ‘fearing for his life’.<\/p>\n Cory Evans, 28, claims he was attacked<\/a> on London Road in the city at around 8.40am on Sunday, November 16, reports Edinburgh Live.<\/a><\/p>\n He moved to the capital from Skegness just three weeks prior for a fresh start after his mum tragically passed away<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n The dad of three young boys aged 4, 6, and 10 – as well as a young girl who passed away in 2014 – said he is “just thankful to be alive”. He has now called for locals to prevent violence<\/a> and not “ruin someone’s life”.<\/p>\n Cory described the terrifying moment<\/a> before a heavy police presence swarmed to the area.<\/p>\n Cory said: “Blood was coming out of me everywhere. I ran to the McDonald’s on London Road and blood was squirting out of me.”<\/p>\n He lost consciousness near the eatery and woke up in the intensive care unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.<\/a><\/p>\n Cops confirmed they received a report of a disturbance<\/a> on London Road and a 30-year-old man was arrested in connection. He appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.<\/p>\n The dad continued: “I didn’t know where I was. I had a ventilator down my throat which was breathing for me.<\/p>\n “I was out for around 12 to 18 hours. I remembered what happened but it was scary. I was happy I had my life but wasn\u2019t sure if I was still going to die. I was trying to pull the pipe out of my throat, I was panicking.”<\/p>\n “I am just thankful to be alive. It breaks your heart knowing your life can be taken away.<\/p>\n “I’ve lost my daughter and my mum and I came to Edinburgh for a new life and then someone tries to take my life.<\/p>\n “My partner could have lost her partner. I’ve got cousins, aunties.
