This International Men\u2019s Day, Leeds United are proud to support Andy\u2019s Man Club\u2019s ‘The Men Who’ve Been There Too’ campaign, focussing on loneliness and raising awareness through a series of photographed posters with different meanings.<\/p>\n
Andy\u2019s Man Club are a male suicide prevention charity that operates over 330 talking groups for men every Monday. The pioneers of the \u2018It\u2019s Okay to Talk\u2019 campaign encourage men to talk openly about the problems that they face in life in a safe and judgement free space, free of charge.<\/p>\n
Leeds United have a longstanding relationship with Andy\u2019s Man Club, collaborating on several campaigns previously, including partnered fundraising events, warmup shirts for first team matchdays, and a charity football match.<\/p>\n
Emma Laycock, Social Media Manager at Andy’s Man Club, commented on this year\u2019s campaign, saying: \u201cFor International Men\u2019s Day, this year we\u2019re focusing on loneliness with our Christmas campaign and this coincides with that.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach poster relates to where we\u2019ve taken the photos and where we\u2019re filming. We\u2019ve done petrol stations, we\u2019re going to be in the city centre, we\u2019re here at Elland Road, and all the posters relate to what different men can be going through.<\/p>\n
