A raid at a Birmingham home led to a \u2018hidden\u2019 drugs discovery with one man arrested.<\/p>\n

A warrant was executed at a property in Gladstone Road in the Stockland Green area of Erdington<\/a> on Tuesday (November 18).<\/p>\n

Inside, police found a \u2018large quantity of cannabis\u2019 hidden inside several bags.<\/p>\n

Some two kilos of the Class B drug were found worth \u2018thousands of pounds\u2019.<\/p>\n

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.<\/p>\n

He has been bailed with strict conditions as police investigations continue.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police<\/a> said: \u201cWe’ve arrested a man and seized a large quantity of cannabis as we worked with partners for an all-out day of action in Stockland Green.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 29-year-old was detained after we carried out a warrant at an address in Gladstone Road early yesterday (18 November).<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing a search of the address, officers found approximately 2kg of cannabis, with an estimated street value of thousands of pounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe drugs, which were hidden inside several bags, were seized and will be destroyed, while the man, arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, has been bailed with strict conditions while our enquiries into the drugs continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson added: \u201cYesterday’s all-out day also saw us working with a range of partners, including Birmingham City Council<\/a> and community representatives, as we stepped up patrols around the area, speaking to local businesses and residents and addressing their concerns, including about anti-social behaviour.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our enquiries into ASB (anti-social behaviour), we carried out further patrols around Brookvale Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs well as our dedicated neighbourhood officers keeping you safe across Erdington and Stockland Green, Operation Skybridge has also returned to the area this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team, made up of uniformed and plain-clothed patrols, is working hard to crack down on burglary, robbery, vehicle, and drug crime.<\/p>\n
