A one-year-old girl has died after a crash on a campsite in North Wales, police have said.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving the child and a vehicle at the Bryn Gloch caravan and campsite in Betws Garmon, near Caernarfon, at 10.20am on Monday, April 28, a spokesman for North Wales Police said.<\/p>\n
The girl was taken to Alder Hey Children\u2019s Hospital in Liverpool by Air Ambulance but died in the afternoon, the force said.<\/p>\n
Sergeant Simon Hughes, of the roads crime unit, said: \u201cOur profound sympathies remain with the girl\u2019s family at this extremely difficult time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey will now be supported by a specially-trained family liaison officer.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe investigation to establish the cause of the collision is well under way and I would like to thank all those who assisted on the site today.\u201d<\/p>\n
