Leeds United fans are desperate to see their club do some business in January and add some attacking vigour in the final third. But already, it looks as if Leeds could miss out on a key target.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds missed out on Harry Wilson<\/a>, Facundo Buonanotte and Igor Paixao in the transfer window. Leeds<\/a> could only add Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on frees, and Noah Okafor for a fee of \u00a318m.<\/p>\n

Calvert-Lewin said that Leeds had silenced the doubters<\/a> after the win at Wolves. But nine Premier League<\/a> goals in 11 games make it clear as day, Leeds lack the creativity and ultimately, the goals, to stay up.<\/p>\n

Which position do Leeds United need to strengthen most in January? <\/p>\n

Leeds have been linked with plenty of new attacking players ahead of January, but the concern is that PSR will prevent Leeds from spending any money. Robbie Evans says Leeds are right on the PSR borderline.<\/p>\n

Leeds are battling Sunderland, Burnley and Wolves for Coventry City\u2019s Haji Wright<\/a>, while Midtjylland star Franculino is rated at \u00a340m<\/a>. Then, there is Ireland hero Troy Parrott<\/a>, after Leeds opted not to sign him.<\/p>\n

Leeds were presented with a \u00a325m fee in the summer, but opted to pursue other targets. Since then, LeedsUnited.News<\/strong> understands Leeds talent spotters watched Parrott\u2019s Ireland brace against Portugal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Contact has been maintained over a potential deal for Parrott<\/a> however, with Leeds still interested ahead of the January window. It comes after Parrott\u2019s hat-trick to secure a World Cup play-off place for Ireland.<\/p>\n

Robbie Evans on Leeds United\u2019s PSR position: <\/p>\n

\u201cThis summer, we spent everything we could. Unequivocally, we are maxing PSR out this season. If we had gone on to other targets [on deadline day], the consequences would have been seen in the current roster. More key players from last season would have had to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Leeds are not the only side interested. LeedsUnited.News<\/strong> insider Graeme Bailey says bigger clubs are already showing interest in the former Tottenham striker, and Leeds may have already missed out.<\/p>\n

Bailey shared the latest on Parrott\u2019s future to LeedsUnited.News<\/strong>: \u201cParrott is not going to be easy for Leeds, or any of the relegation-threatened sides, to lure. There are some big clubs looking at him now.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is in a good place and is not desperate to leave in January. Leeds may have missed the boat on this one. But they are still following him closely,\u201d Bailey continued on Leeds\u2019 chances of signing Parrott.<\/p>\n

Leeds continue to be touted with a possible move for Parrott, especially with Parrott said to be open to moving to the Premier League. Even if the Irishman is supposedly cautious about which club he joins.<\/p>\n

Well, it has now been reported that Parrott\u2019s Ireland antics have caught the attention of two of Europe\u2019s biggest clubs. Bayern Munich are looking for cover for Harry Kane<\/a>, reuniting the two Tottenham stars.<\/p>\n

Then, Italian giants Juventus who are simply in need of inspiration from somewhere after a dismal start to the Serie A campaign. The question Parrott must ask is, where would he thrive most; Leeds, or a big club?<\/p>\n

Leeds are obviously a big club, but in comparison to Juventus and Bayern at the moment, there is no contest.
