The squad gathered at Kitty O’Shea’s<\/a> in the city’s Waterloo Street tonight, Wednesday, November 11, as punters queued up outside to catch a glimpe of their heroes.<\/p>\n The Daily Record’s Bev Lyons was one of the lucky few allowed inside the boozer to hook up with the team after the dramatic 4-2 victory against Denmark.<\/a><\/p>\n The national team<\/a> whiled away the wee early hours of this morning with a private party in Kong after clinching qualification for the World Cup at Hampden.<\/p>\n And after a few hours rest at the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel the players<\/a> were back out on the beer in Kitty O’Shea’s.<\/p>\n John McGinn<\/a> was particularly happy to party after failing to get into the changing room party after the match after being randomly picked to do a drugs test.<\/p>\n He jumped up and down to songs as he posed for selfies.<\/p>\n When asked how he was feeling John Souttar<\/a>, who walked around to say hello to shocked onlookers said: \u201cI\u2019m feeling drunk.\u201d<\/p>\n And Grant Hanley<\/a> wandered around getting photos and videos with some of the delighted fans.<\/p>\n The lads took a table in a cosy booth in the bar as local musician Kirk Strachan played all the Scots anthems from Flower of Scotland and Yes Sir I Can Boogie to No Scotland No party<\/a>, The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond to Caledonia.<\/p>\n Pub goers turned the night into a massive singalong as they rejoiced at their team winning and even the security staff<\/a> beamed from ear to ear.<\/p>\n Musician Kirk, who was called in especially for the event and played for two hours, said it was a real honour.<\/a><\/p>\n He said: \u201cIt\u2019s surreal because it\u2019s not everyday you watch your team qualify for the World Cup and next day entertain them with songs. I\u2019m still on a high. I bought a flight at 2am to the US.\u201d<\/p>\n A few locals were delighted to be part of the party.<\/p>\n Catherine Hall, 29, from Glasgow said: \u201cMy friend and I stumbled randomly into the pub and couldn\u2019t believe it when we saw John McGinn dancing around to Loch Lomond. He was friendly and interacted with everyone. No Scotland no party.\u201dJenna McKinley, 29, from Glasgow said: \u201cAs a female footballer myself it was quite a surreal experience to meet these players of such magnitude. They posed for selfies and were so nice.
