A mother seriously injured in a knife rampage in her family home has said she wishes she could have \u2018fought harder\u2019 for her baby girl\u2019.<\/p>\n
Lainie Williams, 17, was at home with her family in South Wales<\/a> when she was attacked in her bedroom on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n Cameron Cheng, 18,\u00a0a British national from Newbridge in Caerphilly County, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article. <\/p>\n Her mother, 38-year-old Rhian Stephens, was also injured in the attack and was airlifted to hospital.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t\t\tSign up for all of the latest stories\t\t\t<\/p>\n Start your day informed with Metro’s News Updates<\/a><\/strong> newsletter or get Breaking News<\/a> <\/strong>alerts the moment it happens. <\/p>\n She posted a tribute to her daughter, saying she was \u2018still coming to terms with the tragic loss of my beautiful girl Lainie Lea Louise\u2019.<\/p>\n \u2018I knew you better than most and the memories we share will always be able to replay in my head like my personal home video.<\/p>\n \u2018I miss sneaking in your bed and watching horror movies or trying to solve the cases of Law and Order!<\/p>\n \u2018I miss you coming to give me a kiss goodnight every night without fail, telling me you love me and wrapping your arms round me and mine around you and telling you that I was so proud of you and you\u2019re beautiful.<\/p>\n \u2018I miss you more every single day, I just want you back. I lost my most prized possession, you.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018My baby boy is missing you too. The home we\u2019d made for you, me and your brother isn\u2019t our home anymore, it\u2019s a crime scene.<\/p>\n \u2018Both your brother and myself are left with nothing but the clothes on our backs.<\/p>\n \u2018In the summer you\u2019re going to be a soft, cool breeze. Autumn you\u2019ll be that gentle gust of wind rustling the leaves, in the spring you\u2019ll be the first little daisy that blooms and in the winter you\u2019ll be the heat in my heart.\u2019<\/p>\n She also asked parents to keep a close eye on \u2018changes\u2019 affecting their children, saying: \u2018I\u2019d never want another mum to experience this type of pain.\u2019<\/p>\n She wrote: \u2018Guys please look after your sons and daughters and look for subtle changes in their moods.
