Bristol’s brand new drag diner is opening its doors for the first time tonight (Nov 19). Described as being ‘the UK’s only full time drag diner’, it is making the leap to Bristol after finding success in Liverpool.<\/p>\n
Dorothy’s Diner Bristol shared a sneak peek inside the very pink venue on Park Street, writing: “She’s pink. She’s playful. She’s ready to serve!<\/p>\n
“Dorothy’s Diner launches tomorrow. Come be one of the first to order from our kiosk system and try the menu<\/a> everyone’s been waiting for!”<\/p>\n The venue wil open its doors at 6pm on opening night.<\/p>\n BristolLive reported that signage and work had been spotted with the Dorothy’s Diner branding in May<\/a> in what was previously The Garden of Eden at Bristol’s Illuminati venue<\/a>. The new frontage contains dressing room style bulb lighting, with a purple and pink diner-esque logo, adorned with pink high-heeled shoes.<\/p>\n Although the diner is launching as a primarily takeaway venue (with seating available), the team shared future plans, with drag brunches eventually being introduced, giving guests even more to look forward to. The Dorothy’s Diner team said: “We wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome, with an added side of sass.<\/p>\n “\u201cFrom drag queens calling out your food to playful touches throughout the diner, we\u2019re bringing a little extra sparkle to every order. With app\/Kiosk ordering and a focus on takeaway, we\u2019re making the experience as convenient as it is delicious.\u201d<\/p>\n The cocktail menu is full of cocktail concoctions with names such as ‘Eggplant’, ‘Panty Dropper’, ‘The Mooner’, and ‘On Wednesdays we wear pink’.<\/p>\n Bristolians and Dorothy’s fans were quick to share their excitement at the upcoming opening.
