Now his stepbrother Kenneth Newton, 57, and a woman, Melanie James, 63, have both been charged with murder, manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.<\/p>\n
The pair, who are both from Birmingham, are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow, Thursday, November 20.<\/p>\n
Staffordshire Police said: “A man and a woman have been charged with the murder of a man in Tamworth in 2022.<\/p>\n
“Kenneth Newton, 57, and Melanie James, 63, both of Birmingham, have been charged with murder, manslaughter and causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.<\/p>\n
“It comes after we responded to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at 1.27pm on November 27, 2022. Rubin Blount, then aged 28, who is the stepbrother of Kenneth, was taken to hospital but sadly died three days later.<\/p>\n
