The government believes investing in equities will help British companies grow, while also giving savers a better return on their money.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Three investment firm bosses with knowledge of the agreement\u2019s draft wording said it included a new proposal for the companies to create dedicated \u201cinvest in Britain\u201d sections on their websites or trading platforms to offer\u00a0\u201cU.K.-focussed ready-made portfolios\u201d to consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The Treasury\u2019s plan stops short of reviving a controversial \u201cBritish ISA\u201d plan created by Jeremy Hunt as top finance minister in the last conservative government.
