When a group of people arrived at the Duke of Edinburgh pub in Royton and told landlady Jean Anderson they were holding a birthday party, she thought nothing of it.<\/p>\n
It was only when she saw pictures online that she realised what had happened.<\/p>\n
The people in the pub were members of Neo-Nazi group the British Movement, and the birthday they had been celebrating was that of Adolf Hitler.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend we published a story<\/a> about a group of people celebrating the birthday of Adolf Hitler at a pub in Oldham<\/a>.<\/p>\n Pictures posted on the British Movement organisation’s Telegram feed show the group displaying Nazi flags and a cake decorated with a swastika.<\/p>\n MP Jim McMahon described the celebration as ‘a disgraceful insult to the memory of the nearly 100 local men who died fighting Nazism’.<\/p>\n Contrary to the group\u2019s boastful social media they seem to have been shy about promoting their views in public.<\/p>\n The video footage shows them quickly whipping out the flags while watching around them to make sure they weren\u2019t spotted, and all the social media was pixelated.<\/p>\n We followed that story over the weekend with our latest investigation.
