{"id":582669,"date":"2025-11-20T14:18:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T14:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/582669\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T14:18:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T14:18:21","slug":"chelsea-predicted-xi-as-enzo-maresca-makes-controversial-estevao-willian-decision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/582669\/","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea Predicted XI as Enzo Maresca makes controversial Estevao Willian decision"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Chelsea are back in Premier League action in the first game of the weekend, taking on newly-promoted Burnley at Turf Moor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Blues have an excellent recent record away from home against Burnley, winning the last five games by a combined score of 19-3.<\/p>\n<p>       Chelsea\u2019s last five results at Turf Moor  <\/p>\n<p>Burnley 1-4 Chelsea \u2013 07\/10\/23<\/p>\n<p>Burnley 0-4 Chelsea \u2013 05\/03\/22<\/p>\n<p>Burnley 0-3 Chelsea \u2013 31\/10\/20<\/p>\n<p>Burnley 2-4 Chelsea \u2013 26\/10\/19<\/p>\n<p>Burnley 0-4 Chelsea \u2013 28\/10\/18<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/enzo-maresca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enzo Maresca<\/a> has a number of big decisions to make when it comes to his squad selection, especially when taking into account the two games which follow this one.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues will take on Barcelona and Arsenal within five days of each other at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/club\/stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stamford Bridge<\/a>, and need to ensure a number of their players are at full fitness to compete in those.<\/p>\n<p>This will see the boss make some changes against Burnley, and <strong>The Chelsea Chronicle<\/strong> have predicted the XI which will line up at Turf Moor on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"710\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/GettyImages-2244457294-1024x710.jpg\" alt=\"Enzo Maresca smiles during Chelsea training\" class=\"wp-image-336353\" \/>Photo by GLYN KIRK\/AFP via Getty ImagesChelsea Predicted XI vs Burnley<\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/transfer-news\/chelsea-react-to-filip-jorgensens-request-to-leave-stamford-bridge-in-january\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Filip Jorgensen\u2019s request to leave in January<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/robert-sanchez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert Sanchez<\/a> will remain in the starting side as he has for the majority of the campaign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/malo-gusto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Malo Gusto<\/a> will start at right-back, with Reece James in line to captain the Blues in the two crucial games that follow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/wesley-fofana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wesley Fofana<\/a> will start at centre-back. The positions are still up for grabs amongst a host of players in the absence of Levi Colwill.<\/p>\n<p>He will be partnered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/josh-acheampong\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Josh Acheampong<\/a>, who has enjoyed more minutes for the England U21s during the international break.<\/p>\n<p>       How will Chelsea get on against Burnley?     <\/p>\n<p>At left-back, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/jorrel-hato\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jorrel Hato<\/a> will be keen to make an impact in his preferred position after struggling at the heart of defence against Qarabag.<\/p>\n<p>Central midfield will see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/enzo-fernandez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enzo Fernandez<\/a> captain the side. It has been reported that Fernandez is fit to feature despite missing the international break due to fitness concerns.<\/p>\n<p>He will be joined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/andrey-santos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrey Santos<\/a>. This will see Moises Caicedo sit on the bench after playing every minute in South America during the international break.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/news\/estevao-willian-hailed-as-best-player-for-brazil-as-chelsea-man-saves-them-from-embarrassing-defeat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Estevao Willian\u2019s brilliant form for both club and country<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/pedro-neto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pedro Neto<\/a> will continue to hold him off for now.
