Picture: Bar Ingo<\/p>\n<p>Even more impressively, two of those were among a handful to achieve a 4.9-star rating \u2013 the highest of any on the list.<\/p>\n<p>Broadstairs-based Bar Ingo was one, with its owner and head chef Tomas Eriksson keen to thank customers for their loyalty.<\/p>\n<p>He told KentOnline: \u201cAll the hard work pays off, it&#8217;s nice to be recognised, and because it comes from the guests and not from when people ask for votes, it means a lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don&#8217;t like to ask people to vote for us; it should come organically, I think, and I think this definitely has done so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m sure we&#8217;re going to crack on with it, we&#8217;ve got a few dishes coming on the menu, so both me and Rio [Tomas\u2019s son and fellow chef] are ready to get back into it and really crack on with it, so yeah, exciting times ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 3962 2893\" alt=\"Bar Ingo is very much a family affair with Tomas and Rio Eriksson at its heart\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"CFEORGFM361V0SJW2THL.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.37\"\/>Bar Ingo is very much a family affair with Tomas and Rio Eriksson at its heart<\/p>\n<p>Bar Ingo has fast become one of the county\u2019s trendiest restaurants, despite only opening last year.<\/p>\n<p>An Eat My Words visit from earlier this year heaped praise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kentonline.co.uk\/thanet\/news\/there-is-nowhere-better-to-eat-in-kent-right-now-322989\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on its small plates in a five-star review<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our reviewer wrote: \u201cTruthfully, I believe it won\u2019t be too long before the inspectors for the prestigious guide come knocking and recognise Bar Ingo for the iconic dining spot it is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never doubted Bar Ingo\u2019s ability to satiate me, but this was well above what I expected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow am I meant to eat anywhere else, knowing there is no better place in Kent for food at the moment?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 764 572\" alt=\"Sotirio's in Folkestone. Picture: Google<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 1512 917\" alt=\"Lucas, Alex and Costas Sotiriou, co-owners of Sotirios in Folkestone\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"8KP62RVKPKPGYMZAPB0Z.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.65\"\/>Lucas, Alex and Costas Sotiriou, co-owners of Sotirios in Folkestone<\/p>\n<p>Sotirio\u2019s Bar and Restaurant in Folkestone also achieve the impressive feat, and the family-run eatery has earned a range of accolades since opening in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Lucas Sotiriou runs the Bouverie Road West business alongside his brother Alex and father Costas, who has been operating restaurants in Kent for more than 35 years.<\/p>\n<p>He told KentOnline: \u201cIt&#8217;s always absolutely great news every time we get an email and get told, it just shows the consistency within the team, they never drop their standards really.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the thing that we do so well is we all sort of know what&#8217;s expected from each other, and everyone&#8217;s got such a good relationship within the team as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time we get told that we&#8217;re in the top 100, everyone&#8217;s sort of happy and celebrates, but it means we don&#8217;t stop there \u2013 every year we still want to improve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 1049 634\" alt=\"Land + Sea in Tankerton.
