<\/p>\n Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been happily married since 2018. The former Suits star wed the Duke of Sussex after the two met on a blind date<\/a> in 2016. Before their wedding, Harry allegedly thought it wise to break the news to his long-time ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, over a phone call. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, Davy was reportedly \u2018left in tears\u2019 after Harry told her he was moving on with Markle.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Interestingly, Davy attended Harry’s wedding to Markle and reportedly even \u2018hugged\u2019 her<\/a> after the ceremony. However, Nicoll claimed she initially wanted to bail out of attending the ceremony. In an article for Vanity Fair,<\/a> Nicoll penned, \u201cIt was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on. Chelsy was quite emotional about it all; she was in tears and almost didn\u2019t go to the wedding.\u201d She added, \u201cIn the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn\u2019t try and gatecrash the party.\u201d<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n A source who spoke to Nicoll also claimed that neither Davy nor Harry\u2019s other ex, Cressida Bonas, was invited to the evening reception at Frogmore House. Nicoll also spoke to Cosmopolitan<\/a> and revealed that Harry always wanted to cut off his exes after he married Markle. She explained, \u201cHe had a sort of farewell conversation with Chelsy where he spoke to her to say goodbye, and I think probably Cressida and Chelsy both knew that after the wedding they wouldn’t see much of Prince Harry.\u201d She added, \u201cHe’s very much focused on his marriage and his wife, and it has been a case of some of his friends falling a bit by the wayside.\u201d<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It\u2019s widely reported that Harry and Davy remain on \u2018good terms,\u2019 and an alleged incident at his surprise farewell party<\/a> backs it up. A friend of the Duke revealed that his well-wishers threw Harry a leaving party before he left for Canada to be with Markle and his son. Davy was reportedly a \u2018surprise guest\u2019 at the party. Speaking to New Idea,<\/a> the friend said, \u201cHarry was beaming when he walked into the room, and everyone was there waiting for him. He couldn\u2019t believe his eyes when he saw Chelsy.\u201d They added, \u201cHe gave her the biggest hug\u2026She and Harry have a serious connection, but I doubt they would ever hook up on anything.\u201d The friend also claimed that Markle was fully okay with Harry attending the party.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
