Apple Wallet recently launched<\/a> a new Digital ID feature using US passports, but support for state driver\u2019s licenses continues to grow too, and two new states have now pledged support for the feature.<\/p>\n Arkansas and Virginia commit to Apple Wallet digital ID support<\/p>\n After a slow start, Apple Wallet\u2019s digital ID initiative is finally starting to take off<\/a>.<\/p>\n Three new states have launched digital driver\u2019s licenses in the past six months alone, and the new passport-based solution<\/a> in iOS 26.1 should help accelerate Apple\u2019s efforts even further.<\/p>\n Apple has previously announced several US states that have committed to offer digital IDs, including<\/a> Connecticut, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Utah, and more.<\/p>\n Now, as discovered by MacRumors<\/a>, two more states have pledged support.<\/p>\n Both Arkansas<\/a> and Virginia<\/a> now say on official government websites for their own mobile ID apps that they have committed to adding Apple Wallet support.<\/p>\n For example, from the Virginia mobile ID page:<\/p>\n Virginia has signed on to adopt ID in Apple Wallet in the future, enabling residents to add their VA driver\u2019s license and ID to Apple Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n No timelines have been shared for the states\u2019 rollouts, but since each offers their own mobile ID app already, hopefully Apple Wallet users won\u2019t have to wait too long.<\/p>\n Have you used Digital ID via state or passport support in Apple Wallet?
