A man has died following a two vehicle road crash in the Coleraine area.<\/p>\n

The crash took place on the Windyhill Road, between Limavady and Coleraine, on Thursday 20 November.<\/p>\n

Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson from the Collision Investigation Unit said: \u201cPolice received a report shortly after 9.45am, on Thursday morning, of a collision involving a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officers attended, along with our colleagues from partner emergency services. Sadly, however, the driver of the van, was confirmed deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cCollision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision.<\/p>\n

“We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage which may assist with our enquiries.<\/p>\n

The Windyhill Road has now reopened after being closed earlier today.<\/p>\n

NIAS tasked two emergency ambulances and the charity air ambulance with HEMS on board to the scene, a spokesperson said this morning. <\/p>\n
