\n Quintessentially British brand Boden<\/a> is already popular with American consumers so it may come as a surprise that 23 years after launching there digitally, it\u2019s only now opening in the US with a standalone physical presence.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s very first US store has just opened at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia, with the grand opening of the 2,000-square-foot retail space at 5165 Avalon Boulevard marking \u201ca key milestone in the brand\u2019s continued US growth strategy\u201d.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

The store stocks monthly edits of its womenswear and the debut this month kicks off with an edit of partywear, festive knitwear, tailoring, and statement coats.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

As well as the collections, the store interior features a \u202fbespoke\u202f chandelier, commissioned in partnership with British design house\u202f Richard\u00a0 Taylor Designs\u202f and\u202f handmade in Italy. There\u2019s also a \u202fgallery-style exhibition\u202ffeaturing\u202f\u201ciconic British figures personally chosen\u201d by\u202f founder\u202f and chief \u00a0creative \u00a0officer,\u202f Johnnie Boden. Illustrations\u202f by British Artist Charlotte Farmer can be seen throughout and Farmer\u2019s illustration of Boden through the ages will greet shoppers as they enter the store, \u202fcharting\u202f the brand\u2019s \u202frise from a mail-order startup in 1991 to a globally known name.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the fitting rooms\u202f feature\u00a0 bespoke\u202f Boden wallpaper made from \u202fa collage of\u202f archival and recent \u202fbrand\u202f photography and for the festive season, the store will be\u202f decorated\u202f with Christmas trees\u202f carrying \u202fhandmade \u202fstriped baubles\u202f by\u202fBritish pottery brand \u202fCornishware \u202fand \u202fseasonal\u202f wreaths by talented local florist Anik Collective.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Launch week will see a series of celebrations, starting with a local media and creator event\u202f offering\u202f guests a first look inside the\u202f store.\u202fThere will also be a \u202fVIP\u202fcustomer \u202fshopping evening complete with festive refreshments served from the vintage Boden\u202f Routemaster\u202f bus\u202f on 23 November.\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s commercial chief Katherine Danneberg said that the \u201cAmerican customer has embraced Boden with such warmth and enthusiasm over the years, so it feels like the right moment to bring our brand to life in a physical space\u201d.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, Boden first debuted in the US with a digital presence back in 2002 and it says it\u2019s now \u201cthe second-largest British premium clothing brand\u201d in the country. Overall, it has 1.7 million active customers worldwide.\n <\/p>\n
