ITALIAN star Gianluigi Donnarumma is seen as one of the best keepers in the world \u2014 but Arsenal will target him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> No\u200a1, 26, broke England\u2019s hearts at Euro 2020.<\/p>\n

He helped dump Liverpool<\/a> out of the last 16 of this year\u2019s Champions League<\/a> and then frustrated Aston Villa<\/a> in the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma has now played over 400 senior games but there is concern over his inability to deal with corners and crosses.<\/p>\n

He can also be suspect with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a> manager Mikel Arteta<\/a> is certain to tell his players to fire crosses into the box and they will look to make the most of their set-pieces.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma\u2019s shortcomings were exposed in the 2-0 loss at Arsenal<\/a> in the group stages in October.<\/p>\n

The Gunners\u2019 first goal saw a hesitant Donnarumma beaten as Kai Havertz<\/a>\u00a0anticipated a cross from Leandro Trossard<\/a> and nodded\u00a0in.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma was beaten again when Bukayo Saka\u2019s low free-kick from the right went straight under him.<\/p>\n

The Italian\u2019s view of the ball may have been obscured, but there seemed to be no talking between Donnarumma and his defenders.<\/p>\n

Last season in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona<\/a>, Donnarumma failed to come for a corner and Andreas Christensen<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0headed a winner.<\/p>\n

Despite his imposing stature \u2014 he is 6ft 5in \u2014 he stood rooted to his line and seemed unsure how to judge the ball\u2019s flight.<\/p>\n

Earlier in that match, Donnarumma struggled with Lamine Yamal\u2019s cross and Raphinha<\/a>\u00a0put Barca ahead.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma\u2019s hesitancy repeated itself in the semi-final return leg against Dortmund when Mats Hummels<\/a>\u00a0rose unchallenged to head in Julian Brandt\u2019s\u00a0corner from the left.<\/p>\n

The ex-Milan hero also made blunders trying to pass the ball out from defence in some Ligue 1<\/a> games in the last two terms.<\/p>\n

In the Nations League<\/a> in March he was too busy arguing with his Italy<\/a> team-mates to notice that\u00a0Germany\u2019s Joshua Kimmich<\/a> had taken a corner and Jamal Musiala<\/a> was ready to tap into an empty net.<\/p>\n

By the time Donnarumma had realised what was happening, Germany had scored.<\/p>\n

He was also blamed for PSG\u2019s defeat by Liverpool<\/a> in the first leg of the last-16 tie, allowing Harvey Elliott\u2019s 87th-minute effort to slip in.<\/p>\n

Equally, the keeper made amends by saving from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones<\/a> in the shootout at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Yet Donnarumma\u2019s greatest moment came at Wembley<\/a> four years ago when he saved penalties from England\u2019s Jadon Sancho<\/a> and Saka in the shootout for Italy to be crowned kings of Europe.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, a L\u2019Equipe headline read: \u2018God save Donnarumma\u2019 in reference to him stopping Aston Villa reaching the Champions League semi-finals.<\/p>\n

After Friday\u2019s 3-1 defeat to Nice<\/a> saw PSG lose their unbeaten league record, the same newspaper gave him a mark of 3\/10.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma did not come for high balls on two of the goals and Arsenal will hope for more of the same on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
