A Spanish military delegation spent five days in Morocco from November 10 to 14 as part of joint efforts to deepen cultural and military cooperation between the two countries, Morocco\u2019s Royal Armed Forces (FAR) announced<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Led by Major General Marcos Llago Navarro, the Director of Spain\u2019s Institute of Military History and Culture, the delegation\u2019s program began with a working session on November 11 at the Directorate of Military History, where the delegation was briefed on the institution\u2019s missions and achievements, particularly its role in preserving and documenting the nation\u2019s historical memory. The delegation also visited several historical sites and museums, including the North Tower and South Tower Arms Museum in Fes, the fortifications of Tangier, as well as the \u201cDar al-Baroud\u201d and \u201cIbn Battouta\u201d museums.<\/p>\n

The parties addressed prospects for cooperation, including the \u201cSala de Banderas\u201d project.<\/p>\n

The visit reflects the shared commitment of Morocco and Spain to strengthening collaboration in military history and shared memory, underscoring the depth and durability of the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, FAR said.<\/p>\n
