Plan Ahead: Allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes where possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/0_6eb0a354-fc60-4e29-9d1c-532ba5ec66b8.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Heavy traffic continued to build up after sunset, following the Chester Road crash near Castle Vale (Image: Roxy Baldwin )<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">National Express West Midlands confirmed its 28, 64, 71 and 96 services were diverting towards Castle Bromwich ONLY via: Fort Parkway, Bromford Lane and Coleshill Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">The road was cleared and reopened at around 5.30pm with West Midlands Roads saying: \u201cSome residual delays remain in the area as traffic returns to normal.
