Former Manchester United<\/a> forward Mason Greenwood<\/a> has taken time to do a rare interview in France, where he discussed his football and even labelled ex-Brazil star Ronaldo as \u2018crazy\u2019. The 24-year-old spoke ahead of Marseille\u2019s Ligue 1 clash against Nice.<\/p>\n

Greenwood has impressed for the French side since making a move from United back in the summer of 2024. The transfer saw United earn a fee of \u00a326.7million, but they also have a sell-on clause inserted into the deal, which will see them given half of any fee earned by Marseille<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Teams showing an interest in the forward ahead of the January and summer transfer windows<\/a> will be watching even closer, given his performance against Nice. Greenwood was on the scoresheet twice in a 5-1 away win on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The goals are his ninth and 10th in the league so far this season, which means that he is currently leading the race for the Ligue 1 Golden Boot. He has overtaken Strasbourg\u2019s Joaquin Panichelli.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Ligue 1 Plus ahead of the match, Greenwood was asked about his skills, and when pushed on what he thinks his best move on the pitch is, he replied with: \u201cThe stepover.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brazil legend Ronaldo\u2019s name was then mentioned by the interviewer, with Greenwood saying: \u201cI watched a lot of him when I was younger, he used to do it on the goalkeepers a lot, which is kind of crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a different part of the interview, Greenwood opened up on a technique he uses to help keep himself calm when in goalscoring opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe night before a game, I\u2019m in bed and you\u2019re just visualising things in your head, moments on the pitch,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd when I go out to warm up on the pitch, I like to visualise, maybe if I\u2019m in certain situations I\u2019ll do this or do that, so when it comes to it it\u2019s second nature really, I can just do it straight away.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also spoke about the advantage of being able to use both feet when in a dangerous position.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWhen you\u2019ve got both feet, the defender sometimes likes to show you one way on to your weaker side or on to another side, which I like, because if he\u2019s showing me or wants to push me, I\u2019ll take the opportunity because I can shoot on the right side.<\/p>\n

“Or if he wants to show me to the left, I can take the opportunity on the left.\u201d<\/p>\n
