When it comes to drinking, Londoners really know what they\u2019re doing. And\u00a0it\u2019s not just the\u00a0pubs that are worth their salt<\/a>\u00a0in the capital. It\u2019s bars too.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From sophisticated cocktail dens to sweet wine bars and trendy natty wine joints, London has everything whatever your tipple of choice may be. Now it\u2019s official: 35 bars in London have been named among\u00a0the world\u2019s best in the\u00a0Top 500 Bars list<\/a>. And we can vouch, because we\u2019ve sampled drinks at nearly every bar named on the list.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the Top 500 Bars website, it ranked bars around the world by aggregating data from over 2,000 different sources on the internet, in more than 20 languages. The site says it made the most of \u2018the wisdom of crowds\u2019, combining expert opinions with reviews on social media and search engines.<\/p>\n

Named as London\u2019s best bar, and seventh on the planet, was the swanky and minimal\u00a0Tay\u0113r + Elementary<\/a>. The cocktail bar on Old Street is owned by\u00a0one of the world\u2019s most celebrated mixologists, Alex Kratena, with partner Monica Berg. It\u2019s known for doing inventive takes on classic drinks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also ranking highly was the\u00a0Connaught Bar<\/a>,\u00a0Scarfes Bar<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Satan\u2019s Whiskers<\/a>, which came in 12th, 21st and 22nd globally, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Time Out\u2019s best bar for 2025,\u00a0Equal Parts<\/a>, also made the top 500 list. The Hackney cocktail spot and listening bar was named 261st best in the world and came in\u00a030th\u00a0place in London.\u00a0<\/p>\n
