Work is affecting two motorways, nearly a dozen major A-roads, and plenty of important neighbourhood roads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">The big projects to look out for are the one-lane overnight closure at junction five of the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/m56\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">M56<\/a>, and the eastbound entry sliproad being closed at junction two of the M67. There are scores more minor roadworks planned too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"men\">Drivers are therefore urged to check ahead, with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk\/all-about\/christmas\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Christmas<\/a> shopping congestion and traffic around football stadiums set to add to journey times.
