Police searching for a missing man in Warrington today confirmed they have found a body. Geoffrey Whitfield was reported missing from home on Thursday, November 20. Searches for the 86-year-old have been ongoing<\/a> and officers have now confirmed they found a body in the River Mersey<\/a> at around 12pm today (November 22).<\/p>\n Cheshire Police<\/a> say formal identification has not been confirmed but it is believed to be that of Geoffrey.
