Local band The Fairway are gearing up for a sold-out headline show in December at The Eagle Inn in Salford.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As they prepare for their \u201cbiggest gig yet,\u201d the band is set to release their fourth single, \u2018Remember Those Nights,\u2019 next week.<\/p>\n

Frontman Chris Eaves described their sound as similar to other classic Northern Indie bands.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe\u2019re a bit of everything; Oasis, Catfish and the Bottlemen and newer artists like The K\u2019s, prevalent in their releases thus far, with debut single \u2018My Dirty Old Town\u2019 reminiscent of Oasis\u2019 blockbuster 1997 track \u2018D\u2019You Know What I Mean?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone wants to be like Oasis, and if they say they\u2019re not, they\u2019re lying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"OasisWith a marriage of gritty Mancunian vocals and joyous guitar tones, Eaves describes \u2018Remember Those Nights\u2019 as about: \u201cTwo mates drifting apart, looking back on the nights they had.<\/p>\n

He explained the single \u201ccame to us pretty quick\u201d during their writing process.<\/p>\n

The track is driven by their influences, edging towards that newer indie rock sound pioneered by bands such as The K\u2019s, with tracks such as \u2018Dacton and Wanderella\u2019 and \u2018Gravestone\u2019 being clear sonic inspirations, and drawing on Manchester and Salford\u2019s phenomenal creative history.<\/p>\n

\u2018Remember Those Nights\u2019 is set to release on November 28th, a fortnight out from the band\u2019s second headline show <\/a>to close 2025 on December 13th, in Salford, at The Eagle Inn.<\/p>\n

Building on the band\u2019s already impressive workload and a new yet nostalgic indie sound, The Fairway are set to release their first EP.<\/p>\n

According to Eaves, it will be released next year, containing all their singles. \u201cWe want to continue to graft and make more music.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Fairway will take centre stage at the Eagle Inn next month, as they look to refine their sound and etch themselves into the world-famous northern indie music scene.<\/p>\n
