Made some routine saves but was mostly positive in the rain, attempting to be assertive around the box. Thought better than coming for the cross that led to the goal, which led to a bit of confusion with Ballard.<\/p>\n
Had some sloppy moments defensively, heading a ball out for a corner in the first half when trying to pass back to Roefs and then not getting close enough to the winger for the cross leading up to the goal.<\/p>\n
Was steady enough at the back and tried to get forward when he could but didn\u2019t look his usual assured self.<\/p>\n
Had a good battle with Jimenez all afternoon and had been getting the better of him, until the winning goal. Tried to block the Mexican off, without realising that Roefs had backed off from coming for the cross.<\/p>\n
Lutsharel Geertruida: 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n Really calm on the ball while we were in possession but didn\u2019t look comfortable today, summed up with his air shot on the edge of the box right at the death.<\/p>\n Made a couple of really important blocks at the back to prevent possible goals, one in each half. Did well down his side all game, with Fulham\u2019s threat coming from the other side.<\/p>\n Was unlucky to see a defence splitting pass to Le Fee hold up in the first half and was his usual metronome self on the ball, not a lot of forward drive though.<\/p>\n Worked really hard and seemed to be everywhere on the pitch – as usual – but very ineffective on the ball.<\/p>\n Had some good moments in the first half, dribbling through and just not being able to lift the ball over the goalkeeper, then cutting inside but there wasn\u2019t enough power on his shot. Quieter after the break before going off.<\/p>\n Drifted in and out of the game but almost scored a sublime goal at the start of the second half and had a really good spell during the second half where everything was going through him. Didn\u2019t tend to have enough players around him however and was often isolated.<\/p>\n So little service today, kept the defenders honest with his work rate but his only real chance was a little toe poke from Le Fee\u2019s ball.<\/p>\n Looked bright when he initially came on and was involved as we looked to carve open a chance but didn\u2019t spot Le Fee in space on the left and turned back into traffic instead.<\/p>\n Had a battle with Bassey after coming on and did well holding the ball up but got nothing to work with.<\/p>\n Came on late and did get a couple of opportunities to whip a cross in but the crosses that did come in found no-one.<\/p>\n Barely touched the ball after coming on with the team looking erratic.<\/p>\n Man of the Match: <\/strong>Reinildo<\/p>\n Slim pickings for a man of the match today but I\u2019ll give it to Reinildo for his two blocks that prevented potential goals, with the second one being particularly good.
